B. Soc. Sc., N.Q.S.W, Dip in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy, Accredited member of IAHIP.

Fiona is an accredited Psychotherapist, working in private practice and offers both short and long term therapy to individual adults.

Fiona has extensive experience working with families, individuals and groups, she worked as a social worker in the HSE for 10years and various community and voluntary organisations in a therapeutic capacity. Since qualifying as a Psychotherapist Fiona has undertaken further training in body oriented and trauma informed therapies.

She has experience working therapeutically with individuals with a wide range of issues including:

  • depression
  • suicide
  • anxiety
  • addiction
  • abuse
  • sexuality and sexual identity
  • relationship difficulties
  • bereavement & loss
  • life transitions

Approach:

As a Humanistic & Integrative psychotherapist, Fiona draws on a number of therapeutic approaches to support the unique needs of each individual.

Her approach is based upon a safe, and collaborative therapeutic relationship, Fiona believes that the safe relational container of the therapeutic relationship supports the clients understanding of how they are in the world. From a place of awareness, the ability to respond to life grows and they can bring about change in a way that is true and meaningful in their life.
